Or, arguably, you could say that my favourite cover versions are the genuinely terrible ones that Duran Duran could never help themselves from putting on B-sides, without which my pre-teen self may never have thought to seek out the Velvet Underground any would have paid less attention to David Bowie and Cockney Rebel. Doesn't excuse Thank You, mind.

And another one I've just thought of - Paris Motel's version of Nick Cave's Red Right Hand.

But I really want to do my own cover version of Pulp's Bad Cover Version. Just to be silly.
