Attentions are high pending the imminent arrival of Simian Mobile Disco.
Soulwax stormed the Zane Lowe tent earlier, Erol Alkan put in a belter as usual but I think everyone feels the night will peak here with Tiga and Brodinski to follow :)
Its official, there is no mainstage today after apparent 'flooding.'
For us it means we get to see Soulwax instead of the Chemical Brothers. There is no word whether the likes of the Chems, Pendulum or Hot Chip have been rescheduled on the smaller stages.
Boysnoize has just ripped the roof of the Turbo Presents stage, and Erol Alkan, Tiga, Justice and Brodinski are still to follow.
The signs aren't good. The mainstage has somehow been flooded and everything before the Chemical Brothers 8.50 set has been cancelled or shunted off somewhere else.
Dan Le Sac and Scroobius Pip on the Myspace bus was inaudible so we decided not bother with Crystal Castles who were rescheduled on next. We're back in the Metropolis tent awaiting Dizzee Rascal's arrival
A coffee, an energy drink, two greasy doughnuts, three cigarettes and a lager later we're ready for day two.
Despite the change of attire my socks are wet and so is my back. Its a little too breezy and I'm still too damp to brave Dan le Sac and Scroobius Pip on the live stage so I'm going to spend a few hours in the grime tent. Skream & Benga are on very soon and there's something right about dubstep a three o' clock on a Sunday afternoon.
Dizzee Rascal will follow before we spend the rest of the day swimming in a sea of electro. In between we're gonna try to have a chat with Crystal Castles and Brodinski.
